Services
Trites Backflow Services is a full-service company providing the highest quality backflow services in testing, repair, installation, and protection.
The State of California requires annual testing of backflow prevention assemblies to ensure that your assembly is functioning properly. Annual testing is mandated to ensure a safe potable water supply. Once your backflow prevention assembly has been tested, all paperwork is submitted to the proper agency and no further action is required for the year, unless your device does not pass testing, or is relocated. If you fail, your assembly will need to be repaired or replaced.
Backflow Repair
Backflow prevention assemblies have internal components that open and close, allowing for water to flow in one direction to keep the potable water supply safe from contaminants. Exposure to the elements and longtime usage can cause the parts to become worn out or damaged. When damage occurs the device will not work properly and it will fail testing. Trites Backflow Services is experienced at assessing the problem and determining the most cost-effective way to repair your assembly. Typically installing new parts to the backflow prevention assembly can correct the problem. Once the repair is complete and the assembly passes testing, it is certified for the year.
Backflow Prevention Assembly Replacement/Installation
There are times when replacing and installing a new backflow prevention assembly is warranted. This may occur if the parts become in operable, worn out, or if there has been extensive rust or corrosion. Backflow prevention assemblies are in-line repairable and typically last about 10-15 years. When a backflow prevention assembly is replaced, any new regulations must be met to ensure compliance with new laws or mandates.
Backflow Protection
Exposure to extremes in temperatures may cause backflow prevention assemblies to crack or wear out prematurely. To minimize the effects of the elements, Trites Backflow Services recommends installing a freeze prevention bag on your backflow prevention assembly. Having a protective bag/cover on your assembly can minimize the need for premature repair or replacement. Backflow covers must comply with regulations to allow for proper functioning and access to your backflow device. Trites Backflow Services works with vendors to provide you with excellent options in performance and cost-effective backflow covers that comply with regulations.
